Rainbow Adult Living
A Private Nonprofit since 1981
Serving people experiencing:
- Developmental Disabilities
- Intellectual Disabilities
- Mental Health Issues
The mission of Rainbow Adult Living Facilities, Inc. is to support quality lifestyles for adults with developmental disabilities. The agency recognizes that persons with disabilities have a right to the same opportunities for fulfillment in their lives as persons without disabilities. These include the opportunity to increase one’s independence, the opportunity to be productive, and the opportunity to be fully integrated into one’s community.
24 Hour Residential Homes
We operate five Group Homes throughout Portland Oregon; each is inspected and licensed by the State of Oregon. Trained staff are on site 24 hours a day to provide care, guidance and safety.
Five Residents live in each home, where they learn adaptive life skills and are encouraged to pursue their individual interests. The Rainbow Group Home provides security, a sense of belonging and all the routine, entertainment, and affection of a family.
Supported Living Program
Our Supported Living clients enjoy the independence of their own personal house or apartment. Each SLP client has their own staff, who tailors their support to meet the individual's needs while building their skills, increased independence and community integration.
Some clients need help with bill paying, grocery shopping or attending doctors' appointments. Some need help maintaining their house keeping, preparing meals or taking medications properly. The staff get to know each client individually in all of his or her complexities, so the time they spend together brings not just domestic order but builds a positive relationship.
